LITHUANIAN
I am a professional Lithuanian-English translator and interpreter, providing translation and interpretation services to individuals and agencies in Canada since 2000. In 2002, I became an accredited interpreter by the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB), where I interpreted for IRB hearings and Canada Border Agency admissibility reviews until January 2011. In July 2015, I was accredited as a court interpreter by the Ministry of the Attorney General of Ontario. Since then, I have interpreted for the Provincial Offences Court, the Ontario Court of Justice, various tribunals, examinations for discoveries, client-attorney meetings, and medical assessments at healthcare facilities and insurance companies within the Greater Toronto Area and Southern Ontario. I had the honour and privilege of interpreting for the lead actress of the movie “Miracle” at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2017. As a translator, I have translated a wide range of documents, including personal, legal, and administrative documents, reference letters, articles of incorporation, powers of attorney, contracts, marketing materials, operational and maintenance manuals, company brochures, and market research surveys. The content of documents varies from general to specialized terminology. Documents translated by me are accepted by government institutions and professional associations, as there are no Lithuanian-English translators accredited by the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Ontario (ATIO).
